The listing of the Swift Parrot as "critically endangered" is a clear demonstration of the failings of the Federal Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act. This Act is currently under review again and we can only hope that this leads to real protection for all species, not just those that are already endangered and rapidly heading towards extinction.
